What's new in Trade Node

The platform ships improvements in continuous releases. Entries are dated by the month they went live.

Maker-checker approvals

Set approval rules by document type and value, and purchase orders, supplier payments and expenses above the line wait for a second pair of eyes. Money held for approval posts to the books only when the approver clears it. ERP module

Year close with comparative statements

Close a financial year into retained earnings in one guided step — and reopen it exactly if something surfaces later. The P&L and balance sheet now read with last year alongside. ERP module

Recurring entries

Rent, EMIs, maintenance contracts and other repeating entries become templates that generate on schedule — staff review what was created instead of typing it in every month. ERP module

Cost centres and budgets

Tag expenses, purchase bills and vouchers to cost centres, set budgets per centre, and watch budget-versus-actual with alerts when spending crosses the threshold you set. ERP module

GST e-invoicing with IRN

B2B invoices and credit notes register with the e-invoice portal straight from the billing screen — IRN and QR code printed on the PDF, sandbox and live modes, and cancellation inside the 24-hour window. Finance module

Scheduled off-site backups

Each business can connect its own Google Drive or Dropbox and receive scheduled backups — ledgers and registers as spreadsheets with recent invoice and challan PDFs zipped alongside, retention under your control, and an alert if backups go stale.

PDF imports read by AI

Upload PDF paperwork such as purchase bills and the AI reads it into staged rows for review — edit or skip line by line before anything touches the books, with a history of past imports. AI module

Sales funnel, forecast and win-loss reports

See enquiries move stage by stage, a forecast built from the pipeline, win-loss outcomes, and AI-suggested lead priorities for the day's follow-ups. Insights module

Staff benefits: PF, PPF and insurance

Provident fund runs (EPF and VPF) that post to the books, a PPF register, staff insurance policies with premiums and claims, and a My Benefits view where staff see their own position. Staff Benefits module

TDS on payments, with lower-deduction certificates

Tax deducts automatically on subcontractor and supplier payments where the law requires, honours Section 197 lower or nil-rate certificates while they are valid, warns before a certificate expires, and keeps the TDS register ready for filing. ERP module

Contracts with measured RA billing

Import a BOQ, record measurements against it, and raise stage bills that cannot exceed measured quantities or the contract value. Clients follow progress, bills and retention in their own My Projects view with printable annexures. Contracts module

Sales returns with credit notes

Take goods back against an invoice with quantities capped to what was billed, issue the credit note, restock the material, and see GST reports net of returns. Finance module

AI document capture, face attendance and gate logs

Photograph a supplier bill or challan and it becomes a draft purchase order or stock transfer for review; a kiosk marks attendance from a face or ID card; vehicles log in and out at the gate by number plate. Staff also get an in-app assistant that answers how-to questions from the manual. AI module

View or full access per module for staff roles

Custom staff roles can now grant a module as view-only or full — staff can see what they need without being able to change it, and sensitive actions open up only where you allow.
